"It" Building Winner

Most Grande

"Grand and gracious, curved to mirror the Avenue on which it resides. Generous floor plans, stunning views and old world sensibilies abound."

Jeff Wilson

The Dresden

The renown developer, Harry Wardman, oversaw The Dresden's construction through completion in 1910. It was one of his most elaborate buildings and has become a Washington Landmark featured in the popular book "Best Addresses". The building offers some of the most spacious and traditional floor plans in the city. Many units offer commanding views of the city toward Taft Bridge to the north. A staffed front desk is a welcomed amenity for residents adding a sense of service and graciousness often lost in the newer buildings. Units are characterized by tall ceilings, hardwood floors, large windows and elaborate moldings. Entry galleries and wide hallways are gracious touches prevalent throughout the Dresden.
